Milk Carton with Teachers' day gift tag on soap crafting table

About us

our story

A soap brand that began with one small question: how do we give better, waste less, and still make people feel cared for?

Not at the planet’s expense, but as a way to ripple out a stronger voice for our shared home.

why we started for sustainability
The very first My Naked Bar soaps

the beginning

It started with a Teachers' Day gift

Every Teachers' Day, I found myself facing the same problem: how do you give a gift that shows real appreciation, feels good to receive, and does not become one more item on a teacher's already full shelf of gifts?

I wanted something thoughtful. Something useful. Something that could offer a small moment of wellness, instead of adding to clutter.

That search led me to learn soapmaking.

Then I got completely hooked.

I made soap, gave away soap, tested soap, tweaked soap, and somehow kept making more. The feedback was encouraging. People came back pleasantly surprised by how nourishing the bars felt, and some shared that the soaps had helped soothe their skin conditions.

That was when I started to think: maybe these soaps could do some good.

THE LIGHT BULB MOMENT

BUT GOOD SOAP WAS NOT ENOUGH

I knew the bars had potential. They were useful. They were beautiful. They made sense as thoughtful gifts and daily care. But the "why" was not strong enough for me yet.

Then came the light bulb moment: rescued milk cartons.

Milk cartons are difficult to recycle through regular channels because of their layered materials. But they are sturdy, familiar, and everywhere. What if they could be cleaned, rescued and turned into soap packaging?

More importantly, what if the packaging could start conversations?

WHAT WE LEARNED

THE SOAP STILL HAD TO EARN TRUST

Care that has to work

The bar must feel good first.

Craft with restraint

No miracle claims. No unnecessary drama.

Accessible to more people

Vegan bars, different recipes, and options for sensitive skin, face, body and everyday use.

Over time, another truth became clear.

Before anyone cares about sustainability, packaging, workshops or big ideas, the soap itself has to earn trust.

It touches skin every day. For people with sensitive or eczema-prone skin, that trust matters even more.

So we became more disciplined about the bars. More thoughtful about formulas. More careful with ingredients, scent, curing, texture and skin feel.

We do not promise miracle skin. We do not claim to treat eczema. We make eczema-friendly handcrafted vegan soap bars for sensitive-skinned humans who want everyday care that feels gentler, more intentional, and less wasteful.

The planet matters deeply to us. But the bar still has to feel good on your skin.

WHERE WE ARE NOW

MORE THAN SOAP

Today, we still make soap bars. But we stay rooted in the cause that started everything: making everyday care more thoughtful, less wasteful, and easier for people to take part in.

Our bars are daily low-waste lifestyle swaps that care for both people and planet, one bathroom, one gift, and one rescued milk carton at a time.

The brand is built on careful craft, practical design, rescued milk carton packaging, community participation, and a quiet refusal to accept throwaway habits as normal.

We make soap bars, but we also seed thoughts, start conversations, and inspire small acts of rebellion against throwaway habits through lower-waste gifting and thought-provoking workshops.

Care can be beautiful

We make everyday care feel good while staying true to our roots: low waste, practical, natural, and made for real life.

Sustainability can feel human

We make an intentional lifestyle welcoming for more people to take part. No preaching. Nothing performative.

Low waste can feel normal

We make lower-waste choices feel useful, thoughtful and easy to choose, not like a compromise.

tHE CLEAN LITTLE REBELLION

Gentle on skin. Lighter on waste. A little rebellious about both.
